Our head chef, Tawfiq, leads a multicultural cooking team of various undocumented refugees, that cooks the most amazing meals. For a small amount, you will enjoy a delicious meal. In doing so, you  support undocumented refugees financially, but above all you will experience a memorable evening!

The Solidarity Meal was founded with the aim of introducing and uniting people from different cultural backgrounds in a personal way. Our aim is to create an opportunity, where undocumented migrants can expand their local network and people from Amsterdammers can further enrich their circle of acquaintances. By combining great food, beautiful art and good music we want to contribute to the flourishing of new friendships. We happily introduce you to beautiful people who are so much more than 'undocumented migrants'. They are musicians, chefs, mentors, philosophers, photographers, activists, illustrators or entrepreneurs and they would like to share a table and a story with you.

The Solidarity Meal has been around since 2018 and has now taken place at dozens of different locations. Thanks to the extensive network of our enthusiastic advisor Rogier Schravendeel, we have valuable contact with churches in Amsterdam that are willing to offer their spaces for our events. We are, of course, very grateful to all the churches that help us! The Between Borders foundation organizes events for people and with people of all cultural and religious backgrounds.  Of course you are very welcome to join us!
